Many somatic illnesses commonly occur comorbidly with anxiety disorders, including neurological diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, diabetes, and pain.1 However, despite the high prevalence of comorbidity, there are few studies examining how best to help treat people with anxiety and comorbid somatic illness, this is a substantial gap in the literature.1
