Changes were made in the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases relative to the previous edition, with anxiety- or fear-related disorders now constituting a separate group not including obsessive‒compulsive and stress-associated disorders. Separation anxiety disorder and selective mutism have been moved to the anxiety- or fear-related disorders group from the ICD-10 group “behavioral and emotional disorders with onset usually occurring in childhood and adolescence”.1
