Studies, including those of the STROKOG collaborators, have investigated the course of cognitive impairment after stroke, including attempting to dissect the rates of cognitive decline immediately after a stroke compared with in the years following a stroke.1-3 Studies such as these may help patients in the future, by providing a context and evidence base for clinicians aiding patients with recovery and rehabilitation.3
