Based on worrying global trends, showing that rates of stroke are increased among certain populations, the World Stroke Organization and Lancet Neurology Commission Stroke Collaboration Group published a set of pragmatic solutions, aiming to counter this trend.1 The report tackles stroke care in each of four key pillars (surveillance, prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation), making pragmatic recommendations that are globally applicable.1
