Stroke syndromes are relevant because they can be the clinical manifestation of the stroke, and represent the consequences of stroke to the patient.3 Different stroke syndromes respond to different treatments, and some can have devastating consequences for the patient, including death.3 It is important, therefore, that clinicians are aware of these stroke syndromes when treating patients with stroke.3
