The data on the slide come from a multinational, real-world study estimating the cost of PD, stratified by disease severity.3 The analysis confirmed that the real-world costs of PD were substantial, and those costs increased as PD progressed.1-3 The main factors that drove healthcare costs were the direct cost of hospitalization and medication costs, and indirect costs.3
