The increase in 1-year prevalence of anxiety disorders observed over the 12 years between NEMESIS 2 and NEMESIS 3 studies remained statistically significant after controlling for differences in characteristics of the study populations.1 A more pronounced increase in the 1-year prevalence of all anxiety disorders was observed in younger adults (18–34 years) compared with those aged 35 years and older (p<0.001), for students compared with individuals with paid employment (p<0.001), and for urban residents compared with non-urban residents (p=0.002).1
