Historically, neuroimaging studies of anxiety disorders have suffered from small sample sizes, leading to low statistical power and inconsistent findings.1 The rationale of the work of the ENIGMA-Anxiety Working Group is partly to address these shortcomings, by collaborating across countries to create a large adequately-powered dataset.1
