This genome-wide analysis combined data from six cohorts of people from different ancestry, giving new insights into the genetics of anxiety disorders.1 Among the strongest signals was that for the locus DRD2, which encodes the dopamine D2 receptor.1 Dopamine function is known to be linked to psychiatric disorders, and this analysis suggests the importance of cerebellar dopamine signalling in anxiety disorders.1
