‘Parkinsonism’ is a collection of four clinical features that are typically, although not exclusively, observed in PD.2 The features may also be present in patients with other neurological disorders, including progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, corticobasal degeneration, and vascular parkinsonism.3 Together with PD, these disorders are collectively called the ‘parkinsonian syndromes’ and reflect the underlying dysfunction of the basal ganglia region of the brain, or other systemic degeneration.3
