This systematic literature review identified 425 publications, and analysed information from 23 different sources, to determine the risk and protective factors for drug abuse among adolescents worldwide.[1] Risk factors and protective factors were categorised into individual factors, factors related to the family, and those related to the community more broadly.[1] As summarized on the slide, the review identified a range of different factors that interplay in the development of abuse and addiction.[1]
