There are many pharmacological therapies that are used in the treatment of various substance disorders, including nicotine addictions as well as alcohol- and opiate-use disorders as shown on the slide.2 There are still many unknowns of addiction pharmacotherapy, such as how combination therapies might best be used, and how to best match specific patients with specific therapies, that may be addressed by future research.2
