Persons with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders or mood disorders with psychosis in the early course of illness (N=127) were assessed using clinical, functional, and cognitive measures at three timepoints: baseline, 8, and 16 months.2 Group-based trajectory modelling, using the National Institutes of Health Toolbox Fluid Cognition Composite scores, identified three distinct cognitive trajectories (progressive decline, stable impairment, partial improvement,). The aim of the study was to determine whether early cognitive subgroups predicted clinical and functional outcomes over time.2
