The combination of 14 weeks of fluoxetine and comprehensive CBT (exposure, cognitive restructuring, and social skills training) for the treatment of social phobia showed similar improvements versus placebo as CBT alone or fluoxetine alone in terms of response rate (measured using the Clinician Global Impression – Improvement scale) at Week 14, with no difference between the active treatment groups. Mean change from baseline in BSPS score at Week 14 was similar for all arms, including placebo.1
