The combination of CBT and imipramine was compared with either treatment alone in 312 patients with panic disorder in a randomized, placebo-controlled trial.1 Response was defined as much improved or better in Clinical Global Impression – Improvement score while being rated as mild or less in Clinical Global Impression – Severity score.1 Response rates were not significantly different between treatment groups (by pairwise comparisons) after the 3-month acute treatment phase or at the end of the 6-month follow-up phase.1
