The Migraine in America Symptoms and Treatment (MAST) study was designed to evaluate patterns of migraine consultation, diagnosis, treatment and comorbid health burden among a representative non-clinical sample of people with migraine, who had an average of at least one headache day per month.[Buse et al., 2020] The study was a web-based survey of 15,133 people with migraine, and 77,453 control individuals.[Buse et al., 2020] Participants were asked about comorbidities and other conditions with the question: “Do you have, or have you ever had, any of the following health conditions?”[Buse et al., 2020] Participants were then presented with a list of diseases and conditions.[Buse et al., 2020] The results of the MAST study showed that a wide range of conditions were comorbid with migraine, occurring from slightly more than one times the control group to almost four times more.[Buse et al., 2020]
